The Wyeside Writers’ Group
New members welcome!
We’re a small and friendly group of local writers, published and unpublished. We meet on the second Wednesday of every month at the Wyeside Arts Centre, Builth Wells, from 7:00 to 9:00PM.
Our range of interests and genres is very broad, from fiction and autobiography/family history to essays, poetry, and translation. Meetings are lively, varied, and often take unexpected turns.
Some reasons why you might wish to give us a try:
- An opportunity to test an idea or a work in progress without (or before) submitting your manuscript to an agent or publisher.
- Constructive criticism — courteous but honest — from a diverse mix of readers, and a chance to compare notes with others grappling with similar issues.
- No formalities or membership fees (although we do ask £2.50 per person per meeting as a contribution towards the room hire).
- Fine riverside venue with free parking nearby, wheelchair & disabled access, and a surprisingly well stocked bar.
If this sounds of interest, or you have any questions, please drop an email to Geoffrey Wilkinson at geoffrey.wilkinson at ymail.com
We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to one of our meetings.
