We can confirm that the Picnic and Information Day I referred to in my last communication will take place on Sunday May 15th starting at 12 noon and ending at 3pm. It will be followed immediately by a meeting for Worship in the Meeting Room and those attending the picnic are invited to stay and take part if they would like to do so.
We are inviting all the members of Friends of The Pales, the former Pales Management Group, the Trustees of Southern Marches Quakers, the Community Council and other local people who have expressed an interest in the future of the Pales. Southern Marches Quakers have now formally agreed to negotiate the transfer of the Pales to Addoldai Cymru. There will be an update on how far these negotiations have progressed by then. Representatives of Addoldai Cymru will be at the picnic to explain their aspirations for the Pales and answer questions.
We are asking everyone to bring a picnic. We would love it to be a bring a share style of picnic but feel we need to wait to see what is happening about covid infection rates before making a final decision
The Pales has had a complete spring clean and the grounds are looking cared for after some hard work by volunteers on several occasions. We hope you can attend this event. To give us some idea of numbers, it would be helpful if you could reply to this email if you intend coming.
We look forward to seeing you and sharing ideas for this next exciting phase in the life of the Pales and learning how we might become, or continue to be, involved.
