Events at the Pales
While the Pales offers a retreat away from the world, it also provides a space where one can meet with others to explore new ideas . Our varied events programme aims to inspire and refresh the spirit through creativity of all kinds and through the exploration of different kinds of spirituality. We are concerned with the urgent practical issues of living in today’s world of climate change , but also with understanding and appreciating the natural world and the local history and traditions of this exceptional place . We welcome suggestions for new activities
Highlights of our 2019 spring programme are a discussion day on April 4 on green issues , focussing on hydrogen-fuelled cars and sustainable heating. The poetry day on April 24 has as its challenging theme : the treatment of Death in poetry; what is universal? Our three art days in June ‘Inspired by nature’ will explore natural forms and landscapes. And there will be much more.
We are arranging events for next year and have already booked some, others are awaiting confirmation of dates etc.
